pelvic floor conditions

Did you know that 1 in 4 people will struggle with a form of pelvic floor dysfunction at some point during their lifetime? This can include leaking of urine, issues with bowel movements or pooping, sexual dysfunction, and so much more.

But just because pelvic floor dysfunction is common, doesn’t mean that it’s normal or something that you have to live with.

I would love to work with you to address any problems you may be having so that you can feel empowered in your body and get back to doing the things you love.

how can i help you?

Struggling with a pelvic floor issue or condition? Don’t worry, I’ve got you! As a Board-Certified Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist I have pretty much seen and treated every type of pelvic floor dysfunction under the sun.

  • Bladder issues like urinary urgency, frequency, hesitancy, or leakage

  • Bowel issues like constipation, incomplete emptying of the bowels, bowel leakage, and bowel or fecal urgency

  • Pain with or dysfunction during sex and intimacy including pain during vaginal and anal penetration, pain with pelvic exams and tampon use, erectile dysfunction, premature or painful ejaculation, pain during sex and orgasm, and decreased sensation with orgasm

  • Pelvic floor dysfunction as a result of hormonal changes during pregnancy, postpartum, perimenopause, menopause, and following menopause

  • Nerve pain including pudendal neuralgia

who do i work with?

I am really passionate about this when I say that everyone poops, pees, and has sex and intimacy at some point in their lifetime.

Since that is the case, I literally work with everyone struggling with pelvic floor issues. Men, women, kids, the LGBTQIA+ community. Because everyone has a pelvis and, likewise, has a pelvic floor.

I know it can be incredibly challenging to seek out care for pelvic floor dysfunction and can feel isolating or like you are the only person struggling with a pelvic floor diagnosis. But I promise you that this is not the case at Flora Physical Therapy. Working with folks with pelvic floor conditions is my bread and butter and what I do all day, every day.

I promise you that you are not the only one struggling, otherwise I wouldn’t have a job. I am here to help you feel better and more like yourself again!
