Did you know that even though the majority of marketing for pelvic floor dysfunction and pelvic floor physical therapy treatment is directed towards women that as many as 16% of people that identify as male struggle with pelvic floor conditions and dysfunction?
Honestly, these statistics are probably much lower than is actually representative of the population with the stigma that still surrounds pelvic floor treatment, especially for clients that identify as male.
Don’t worry, as a Board-Certified Pelvic Floor Physical Therapist, I am specifically trained to treat male clients — and enjoy doing so!
male pelvic floor conditions
struggling to find a pelvic floor provider that works with men?
I frequently have male clients reach out who have been struggling to find a pelvic floor provider who is not only skilled in the treatment of pelvic floor conditions, but are also open to working with men. And who don’t make it awkward.
I’m really happy that you’re here! Not only do I “say” that I work with folks who identify as male and are struggling with pelvic floor diagnoses, but I am also a trained pelvic floor physical therapist who has over six years of experience working with men.
Men have a pelvis and pelvic floor muscles just like every other human being. Because of this men can also struggle with pelvic floor conditions and issues. So you also deserve equitable and accessible care!

what exactly do i treat?
Similar to what I see and treat in my clients that identify as female, I see issues with bladder, bowel, and sexual functioning as well as various types of pelvic pain in my clients that identify as male.
Here’s a quick list of pelvic floor conditions that I have helped my male clients successfully improve and treat:
Pelvic pain like pain with pelvic examinations and pain in the hips, low back, pubic symphysis, and groin
Bladder issues like urinary urgency, frequency, hesitancy, or leakage
Bowel issues like constipation, hemorrhoids, incomplete emptying of the bowels, bowel leakage, and bowel or fecal urgency
Pain with or dysfunction during sex and intimacy including erectile dysfunction, premature or painful ejaculation, pain during sex and orgasm, and decreased sensation with orgasm
Nerve pain including pudendal neuralgia
And pretty much every other pelvic floor diagnosis you can think of!
