At Flora Physical Therapy, I am passionate about providing inclusive care to everyone and everybody regardless of age, race, religion, socioeconomic status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression. I have received the highest level of training to treat all pelvic floor, lymphedema, and oncologic conditions for all humans including women, men, children, the LGBTQIA+ community, and people who are pregnant, postpartum, and trying to conceive, as a Residency-Trained, Board-Certified Pelvic Floor and Women’s Health Physical Therapist and Certified Lymphedema Physical Therapist. • Reach out by calling, emailing, or using the form submission on my website to get an initial evaluation scheduled. I will personally respond to you within 24-48 business hours following your initial inquiry.

  • During your 60-minute initial evaluation, we will complete a thorough assessment including an in-depth intake of your medical history, your ongoing symptoms, and what your goals are for your therapy appointments while we are working together.

We will then complete a hands-on assessment, including specialized testing, to determine the why behind your symptoms and dysfunction and then begin to incorporate interventions specific to you, your symptoms, and your goals to help address the underlying cause of things.

  • During our 60 minute follow-up sessions I am able to focus on you, your goals, and any areas of dysfunction that are linked to your ongoing symptoms that we find during the initial evaluation.

I will continue to assess (and re-assess) you, your body, and your symptoms during our follow-up appointments, covering anything that we don’t fit into your initial evaluation.

Any additional areas that we assess that we find are contributing to your symptoms we will focus on during our follow-up appointments depending on your symptoms and goals to get you feeling better.

  • I work with you to create an individualized treatment plan that we will focus on during our follow-up appointments. Taking a personalized approach instead of a “one size fits all” approach to our appointments will get you back to feeling like yourself again, doing what you love (symptom-free), and reaching the goals that you have for yourself.

care at flora is different

Receiving pelvic floor, lymphedema, and oncologic physical therapy treatment is incredibly specialized and niche which may make you feel as though you don’t have options when it comes to choosing a pelvic floor, lymphedema, and cancer physical therapist, but this isn’t true. Treatment at Flora is different because…

Pelvic floor, lymphedema, and cancer care are my areas of expertise.

I have chosen to specifically focus on these areas of specialty at my private practice instead of them being an “add-on” or “afterthought.”

Comfortable Pelvic Floor and Lymphedema Physical Therapy Treatment Durham NC

It doesn’t feel sterile or like a typical physical therapy clinic. Flora is a woman-owned small business and prides itself on details.

I have all of the creature comforts available to make your experience more comfortable—a table warmer, lubricant warmer, hot coffee and tea, snacks, water, bolsters, pillows, essential oils, and calming music (or music to your choosing).

Goal Oriented Pelvic Floor and Lymphedema Physical Therapy Treatment in Durham NC

Treatment recommendations are realistic, functional, and prioritized based on you and your goals.

As a mother to one, I understand what it’s like feeling bombarded by medical advice and a home exercise program to keep up with from standard physical therapy treatment (who has time to do 50 exercises a day?!).

I try to keep what I send you home with simple, to the point, what you actually need to focus on, and interventions that I have personally reviewed with you during our treatment sessions.

Nothing is off of the table, “too much information, ” or taboo. Promise. I’ve pretty much heard everything at this point.

I am passionate about making sure that all clients feel comfortable and safe when in my clinic space. No deadnaming, using incorrect pronouns, or misgendering my clients or their guests.
